Candies Shoes
From LoveToKnow Shoes
Candies shoes are just as tantalizing as their name! They’re colorful, fun, flirty, trendy, and everything you want a go-anywhere shoe line to be. They go with anything from blue jeans to a mini skirt. They're affordably priced and targeted to teen girls as well as young adult women.
However, Candies shoes aren't just another pair of fancy footwear. They’ve launched a massive advertising campaign to teach young women that "being sexy doesn't mean you have to have sex." The company aspires to educate young girls on the risks of teenage pregnancy.
A Candies Shoes Timeline
The line started in the 1970s with a slide and has since had some of the most interesting advertising around. The shoes are still known for staying close to their retro roots. They rocked the 1980s. See a commercial here.
Right now, Hillary Duff's the poster child for Candies shoes. The print ads have been featured in big magazines like CosmoGirl, Seventeen, YM, Vogue, and several other publications for young women. The hot faces of Candies ads have included Alyssa Milano and Jenny McCarthy. The controversial ads--especially Jenny McCarthy's--are a combination of shocking, dirty, and sexy. That's what gets them noticed. The shoes are hot, but the ads will catch your eye.
Especially Hot Pairs of Shoes
Pazy Wedge Sandals are SO hot for summer. They're wedges, obviously, but they're also metallic. The silver and bronze T-strap on top of a four-inch rope heel is to die for. They're the must-have shoes for a cool look during hot weather.
Saddey Snake Heels Want a little wild woman in your walk? Step into these 3.5-inch heels with a snakeskin strap and get ready to strut. These shoes will look great with a pair of tight, dark blue jeans or an edgy skirt.
Pink Olie Snake Wedge Sandals are for the rebellious Barbie in all of us. They're pink, but they're snakeskin. And, the heel is not for the height-phobic. What a combination!
The Catapult is a sneaker with Velcro closure. They offer sufficient traction and intense style.
Hannaa Sandals are the perfect mix of an innocent picnic and a pair of racy blue jean cut-offs. They're the shoes Daisy Duke would've worn if they'd been around for the series. They're available in red or blue gingham on top of a four-inch cork bottom.
You Can Find Them Anywhere
Kohls is the first place you'll want to go to buy your new shoes. Candies are often advertised "Candies at Kohls." Even on the Candies website, when you click to shop, you go to the Kohls website. Kohls even has some special edition shoes you can only get there. They're sure to have all the styles you could possibly want.
eBay is always a great option for almost any shoe needs. Perform a search for "Candies shoes" and you'll bring up a wide selection. You may find several shoes that aren't available in stores anymore. The only downside to eBay is the instability of stock--you never know what they'll have available because it's dependent on what people have in their throw-out pile at home. That downside can quickly turn into something fun, though, if you enjoy the thrill of a chase.
Candies.com will take you to the Kohls site mentioned earlier, but what Kohls doesn't offer is information about the company itself. You can find teen pregnancy facts and tips for teens and their parents. Also, take a look at the behind the scenes of ads.

Melissa, that's such a shame. The Candies line for Kohls is so cute that I know you'd want them to last a lifetime - or at least more than a year. Hope you find a pair you like just as much.
-- Contributed by: TsharmaI bought a pair of Candies shoes at Kohls last summer. They're really cute, sparkly black pumps. However this year I discovered that both the soles of the shoes have developed holes from wearing them. Ive never gotten holes in shoes before, so I'm shocked!! I have only worn them in an office setting.. It's not like I went for a mile jog every day in these shoes. I'm very disappointed.
