What’s So Special About Coach Shoes?
Coach shoes, like the company's handbags and accessories, have become synonymous with style and elegance.
Coach started making handbags in 1941. Six New York artists decided to create leather handbags from the same kind of hard-wearing leather that baseball gloves are made from. The distinctive "C" design, which is now Coach's signature style, wasn't developed until the early 1990s. At this time, the company decided to move away from leather and begin experimenting with other fabrics. They moved away from manufacturing only handbags and accessories too, and moved into other lines – including Coach shoes!

For more formal occasions, the Dominique pump is sophisticated enough to take you anywhere. There's also a choice of loafers in leather and suede, all with the distinctive Coach logo.

Coach has dedicated stores throughout the world, and there's a store locator on the website to allow you to find the one closest to you. You'll also find Coach shoes in larger department stores such as Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus. Online ordering is available through the Coach website.
If you're really stuck, or just can't afford the shoes you've set your heart on, you'll can sometimes find Coach items for sale on eBay. However, like most high-end designer items, the Coach label is often faked. If you're buying online, make sure you check the seller's feedback and ask any relevant questions before making your purchase.
Handbags and Accessories
While you're buying your Coach shoes, it may be tempting to pick up a little something extra at the same time. Coach is most famous for their handbags, and it's not difficult to see why. The current line contains everything from clutch bags to diaper bags, both in the signature Coach fabric and in a selection of leathers and canvases.
Coach bags aren't cheap - the gorgeous pocket satchel will set you back just under $600. However, these products are built to last. In fact, a Coach handbag could be seen as something of an investment!

Daphne, would you be able to specify the type of flats you're looking for? I recently saw a whole shelf full of Coach flats at Loehmann's (at deeply discounted prices, by the way).
In general, once a shoe is gone from the Coach site, it's gone for good since almost every Coach item is seasonal. Your best bet might be eBay. Good luck finding those shoes!
