Why We Love Guess

Guess shoes are young, fun, flirty, and fashionable.

The Guess company is most famous for their jeans. Although they're thought of as a true American classic, the Marciano family who founded the line are actually from France. Their love of all things American, however, brought them West to California. It was there, in 1981, that Guess Jeans was born.

Back in the 1980s, jeans were still far from the fashion favorite they've now become. The Marciano brothers are amongst a small group of designers who are responsible for putting denim firmly onto the fashion map. They had the foresight to realize that the youth market was underprovided for, and that a line of clothing designed to appeal to teenagers and young people could have great mileage.

They were right. Through clever marketing and even cleverer design, Guess became one of the fashion leaders of its time, and it still going strong today.

But what about those shoes?

The Birth of Guess Shoes

Once Guess jeans started to become popular, the Marcianos decided to branch out into other apparel and accessories. The Guess shoes brand was born. Guess now makes shoes for both women and men, complimented by a range of handbags and accessories.

As well as being sold in Guess stores, Guess shoes can also be found online, and in most department stores. While Guess jeans would probably fall into the category of "casual wear," their shoes are sexy, stylish, and elegant. They're also suited to almost any occasion.

Guess Shoes This Season

This season, like many other shoe designers, the Guess line focuses heavily on metallic, with gold, silver, pewter, and bronze all making an appearance. From sexy silver stilettos to beautiful bronze peep-toes, there's a shoe to fit every fashion--and every foot.

There's a nod towards this summer's fashion for wedge heels. Casual occasions aren't forgotten either, with some fabulous gold sneakers.

Winter may be well behind us, but Guess's colorful cowboy boots are too pretty to keep tucked away until next year, and there's a great selection of pretty summer slides to choose from too.

Guess has yet to achieve the success of some of their competitors with their accessories line, but that could be set to change. The latest handbag collection is the height of fashion, with styles similar to those you'll find at Gucci and Coach. The plus side is, they're a mere fraction of the price.

As you'd expect from a company that made its name selling denim to the masses, jeans make up a large part of the Guess clothing collection. However, there's also a large collection of dresses, tops, and outerwear to make sure your Guess shoes are always well accessorized.
