The History of Puma Shoes

Puma Shoes and Adidas Shoes actually started out as the same company in Germany. Two brothers came together to form a line of sports shoes called Dassler Shoes in 1924, only to have a falling out in the 1940s. Since its birth, Puma has branched out into over 80 countries.

Both Puma and Adidas have sponsored multiple phenomenal athletes. In 1936, Jesse Owens made Dassler's name bigger by winning four Olympic gold medals with their shoes on his feet. In the following decade, Rudolf Dassler, the brain behind Puma shoes, began work on football boots. Dassler also worked on shoes for other sports. In 1952, Puma earned its own gold medal thanks to runner Josef Barthel. Since then, Puma shoes has been growing dramatically.

With such a long-lasting reputation, Puma shoes are definitely worth checking out. Try them on, consider the color choices, and enjoy the field or track in your new shoes.

The Styles They Offer

Puma shoes are based on sports. They're either actually athletic shoes or they're stylishly sporty. They also offer men's and women's clothing and accessories. One thing Puma offers is a lot of color. When you log on to an online shoe store page, you're instantly greeted with a variety of blues, greens, and more. Puma sneakers are anything but boring.

Golfers will love the deviation from the norm. Check out the Golf Cat Women's Shoe. Who can say no to baby blue and cotton candy pink?

If you're a girl looking for a shoe you can wear with blue jeans or other casual attire, consider the Criatura II.

For a male cross-country racer who's not afraid of color, Puma offers the Grasshopper. Not for the faint-hearted, this lime green shoe will offer traction on all types of surfaces. This shoe is also available in other colors.

If you're a guy looking for a simple white shoe for basketball or just kicking around town, you may want to try on the Basket FS.

As you can see from just a few examples, Puma shoes offer all the variety in a sneaker line you could possibly need. Choose from golf shoes, classic styles, bestsellers, lifestyle, motorsport, baseball, running, or soccer shoes. They're ready to suit all your athletic needs. Not athletic? It still doesn't matter. Puma offers comfortable footwear for just wandering around town on the weekends.
