Spike Heels

Wearing a pair of shoes with spike heels requires coordination and confidence. A spike heel is a very thin high heel. It can be found on both shoes and boots and varies in height and width. Some refer to spike heels as stilettos. Wearing shoes with a heel that is a spike will give the illusion of a longer, slimmer leg. They also make the feet appear smaller and add to your overall height. A pair of sexy heels can make you feel confident and seductive. Wear them whenever you want some attention! Many men are attracted to women wearing a pair of super high heels. Women wearing a hot pair of heels carry themselves with a different posture and show an attitude of confidence and sex appeal.

Anything goes when wearing high heels. Women wear them with anything from a little black dress to a pair of jeans. Spike heels can dress up an otherwise plain outfit. They look great with a knee-length skirt, but a shorter skirt may send out the wrong message. Be sure you are going for the look you intend when putting on your heels.

Spike heeled shoes are not appropriate for the work place and should be reserved for going out on the town or dinner with your date. They may not be comfortable for long periods of time so be sure you will be sitting for part of the evening.

Wearing shoes or boots with high heels can be dangerous at times. The wearer will be less stable and will need to be more cautious when walking in the heels. To balance yourself in a pair of thin heels put the pressure at the front of the foot, not at the heel. Also be aware of the type of surface you are walking on. Spikes can sink into grass or soft ground and cause you to get caught and fall. They can also easily catch on a rock or uneven street surface causing you to lose your balance.

There have been studies showing that wearing high heels, such as spikes, can cause leg, hip and back problems if worn consistently over time. Spike heeled shoes generally are narrow and may also cause feet problems such as swelling and bunions. An option does exist, though, if you are insistent on wearing heels. There are a number of medical practices that will do corrective cosmetic foot surgeries in order for women to sport their favorite look.

It is always wise to break your shoes in before wearing them out on the town. Wear them around the house a few times to get used to how they feel and get them to mold to your feet. Nothing is worse than putting on a pair of shoes to later end up with blisters and sore feet.
