It seems like there may be a certain risk factor involved in using any kind of glue on shoes in the middle of a night filled with dancing and walking around. It's best to sit it out for a little while no matter what you use to make sure the glue really dries well.

Shoe Goo isn't good for quick repairs. It takes hours, not minutes, to dry. Although super-glue isn't especially effective on many plastics and porous materials, it at least has a chance of working.
